YIRRIBEE PACING STUD
New South Wales ~ Australia
Yirribee Pacing Stud was established in 1985 by Rod Woodhouse and the late Ian Walsh. It was officially opened in 1986. Yirribee now celebrates 30 years in the breeding industry.
In 1986 Woodhouse & Walsh purchased American Stallion, JEREMY LOBELL, as its foundation sire. JEREMY LOBELL sired over 250 individual winners and his progeny have won in excess of A$6.7 million in prize money. He is now 32 years old and still resides at the Stud, although he has retired from his breeding duties. He is the Sire of multiple Group 1 winner, JOFESS, who was the winner of the 2004 Inter Dominion Pacing Championship (G1), the 2002 Victoria Cup (G1) and the 2002 Treur Memorial (G1).
Other Stallions that have passed through the stallion barn over the years at Yirribee include the Meadow Skipper stallion GENGHIS KHAN (who left 200 individual winners), PET ROCK, MISTER BIG, STONEBRIDGE REGAL, VILLAGE JASPER, ARMBRO OPERATIVE, BRIOSO HANOVER, JAGUAR SPUR, WALTON HANOVER, ARMBRO AUSSIE, RIVER KHAN and METROPOLITAN.
